When people ask me what my favorite food is, I draw a blank. What is my favorite wine? It all depends on the food, the time of year and whether or not food is involved at all! The answers never seems to satisfy the inquisitor but, always leaves me thinking about my last, favorite meal. Was it the fresh apalachicola oysters and crisp sauvignon blanc from New Zealand I had for lunch yesterday, or, was it the Dijon gingered crab cakes with an orange beurre blanc I made for Sunday lunch? Or, is it what I’ll be making for dinner tonight?
